Moldovan deputy foreign minister meets representatives of International Trade Centre

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari held a working meeting with representatives of the International Trade Centre (ITC), Mrs. Elena Boutrimova and Mr. Pablo Antonio Lo Moro, who are on a working visit to Moldova on 10-13 October, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media relations service has reported.
The discussions were focused on the technical assistance to be provided by the ITC experts to the Moldovan companies, especially to the representatives of the SMEs in order to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area established between Moldova and EU. The support will be granted under the EU funded project “Linking the SMEs from Eastern Partnership countries to the Global and Regional values changes”.
During the meeting the sides have reviewed the latest developments in the implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement and the priorities for the European integration dimension. The sides have carried out an extensive exchange of views on the challenges that the enterprises from Moldova are encountering in promoting the goods and services to the EU market.
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is a joint development agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations established in 1964. One of the main objectives of the organization is the internationalization of SMEs, particularly of those in developing countries and economies in transition.
