Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - The leader of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Maia Sandu, is the common candidate of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA), Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and PAS at the presidential elections due on 30 October 2016.
At a news conference, Maia Sandu said that the findings of the second opinions poll had been made public, after which a final decision was to be taken on the common candidate for the presidential polls. “The opinion poll’s results show that I will pick up most of the votes in the first round of the elections and have the greatest chances to defeat the Socialists’ candidate, Igor Dodon, in the runoff. On the days to come, PPDA and PLDM are to summon the executive forums to take a final decision to this end,” Sandu said.
“I think that the good and honest people should work together and make a team. PPDA has an important role in strengthening the forces and I think that we will move together towards victory. I urge the citizens to join efforts and lead the struggle underway till the end. The stake of these presidential elections is very big; therefore we have no right to miss it and disappoint the citizens of Moldova again,” the PAS leader said.
