Moldovan electors may request voting at domicile starting from today

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/- The Central Election Commission today announced that on 15-29 October 2016, electors may request voting at domicile.

Under the electoral legislation, the voter, who for health reasons or other serious grounds, cannot come to the polling station, may request voting with mobile ballot box.

The applications are made in the written form starting from two weeks before polling day until 18:00 the day before voting. On election day, the applications may be made in the written form till 15:00 along with medical certificate. Only people with visual disabilities can submit applications on voting at domicile including verbally.

Direct presidential elections will take place in Moldova on 30 October 2016.
