Moldovan PM attends opening of wiring factory

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip participated in opening of wiring factory of Italian company “La Triveneta Cavi Development” in industrial park from Straseni, subarea of the free economic zone Balti. Currently, 49 jobs are created at the enterprise, and in the near future, their number will be extended till 200, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
In his speech, Filip thanked the leadership and shareholders of the company for the interest and determination to open a branch of the company in Moldova. At the same time, the premier appreciated the decision to launch the activity namely in Straseni, so ensuring people from the region with a well paid job.
“I want a country where people live well from north to south and from east to west without large economic disparities, I want to work together in order to create more poles of prosperity outside the city. All government actions we do every day have one goal – to draw more local and foreign investors, who should create more jobs. The government wants to be partner of private sector in creating jobs and prosperity for citizens,” he said.
Also, the premier approached the reforms launched by the government to transform the business environment from Moldova in attractive one for investments. “The economic agent is primary source of people welfare. Therefore the economic agent must be treated with the greatest attention and care! We have passed from the arrogant and bureaucrat state to partner state: respect for economic agent, respect for investor is a key-principle starting from 2016,” the premier said.
Attending the event, director of factory from Italy Fabio Fracasso thanked the authorities for openness and support provided in extending the production line in Moldova. “This is the first achievement that will lead to a vertiginous cycle of new jobs, which means more work, more production, new sales markets, as well as increase in turnover,” the Italian entrepreneur said.
The new factory will produce electrical wiring of low and medium voltage for telecommunications, signaling and control cables that will be exported globally. To build and equip infrastructure of the factory from Moldova, 24 million euros have been invested, of which 6.6 million euros were provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
„La Triveneta Cavi Development” company is one of the most important companies on European market in producing low and medium voltage cables for industrial and domestic sector.
