Former Moldovan MP, politician passes away

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/ – Former communist member of the Moldovan Parliament Vadim Misin, owner of the Order of the Republic, police Major General in reserve, passed away today at the age of 71, due to heart problems.
Recently, Vadim Misin had health problems and was admitted to the National Hospital in Chisinau. He suffered two heart attacks last week.
Vadim Misin was born on 12 March 1945 in Kazakhstan. He graduated from the State University of Moldova and the Higher Party School in Kiev, with the qualification of a lawyer.
After graduation, he worked in Komsomol youth organization and organs of the communist party. From 1983 he worked in the system of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Moldavian SSR. In 1986 he was appointed the head of department in transport of MAI, being advanced to the grade of major general of police.
Between 1993 – 2012, he was a member the Communist Party of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM), and between 1998 – 2014 – member of the Moldovan Parliament.
In 2000 and 2001, Vadim Misin was vice speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, holding this position until March 2005. Also, in 2005, he was decorated, by that period of time President Vladimir Voronin, with the Order of the Republic.
After he left PCRM in 2012, Vadim Misin was elected on 14 September 2012 the leader of the Party "Renastere" (Renewal).
