Moldovans urged to apply for higher military educational institutions in United States

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/- Moldovans are invited to participate in a contest for admission to two of the most prestigious higher military educational institutions in the USA: Military Academy, West Point, and Air Force Academy.

Officer of the Defence Ministry’s Department of Human Resource Management Roman Natrasevschi said that the applications could be submitted until 4 November. Men and women aged between 17 and 23 years, high school graduates, of college or university can participate in the contest.

Besides the English language test (TOEFL and SAT or American College Testing (ACT), the candidates will take the physical training tests. Testing, which will be conducted by the Defence Ministry, jointly with the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, will include throwing basketball ball, pull-ups, shuttle race, pushups, running 1 miles (1.60 km).

The studies at the military higher education in the USA will last four years, and tuition costs are fully covered by the American government.
