Premier says government to back entrepreneurs investing, creating jobs in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip today participated at opening of Balkan Pharmaceuticals medicines production complex in commune Singera, Chisinau. The new company created over 400 jobs and the investments amount made was over 30 million euro, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister congratulated the management and employees of the company at the event, noting that the government would make further efforts to support entrepreneurs investing and creating well-paid jobs for citizens in Moldova.
"Today we propose available medicines to citizens, and on the other hand, it is a step for their welfare. This company, coming with investments from Romania, provides employment for more than 400 people. This means children whose parents will remain at home, old people whose children will stay here in Moldova, and will take care of them," mentioned the head of executive.
Also, Pavel Filip talked about government’s measures to support business and in particular, the pharmaceutical sector in Moldova, specifying that the medicines’ dimension is a priority for the executive. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers pointed out that since March 2016, it has developed an action plan to come to improving the situation in the area. Many of the measures established by medicines’ manufacturers and distributors have already been conducted, which showed a reduction of 40 per cent in the price of 160 essential items of medicines.
Balkan Pharmaceuticals company was founded ten years ago and represents a Romanian investment in Moldova. Currently, the company produces 137 articles of medicines used for the treatment of endocrine disorders, nervous system, cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory and other ailments.
