Moldovan PM meets trade union members

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting with young representatives of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova on 20 October. They discussed the prerequisites of activity of the cabinet for supporting the young people and the policies promoted by state in the social, economic and entrepreneurial sectors, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The premier conveyed a message of encouragement to the participants in the meeting and underlined their major role in developing the country and sustainable growth of society.
“The young people outline the future of the state and are bringing an added value to our country. Ensuring economic stability and creating an attractive environment for investors will allow us to settle the current problems and will provide new possibilities to support the initiatives and to promote the interests of Moldovan young people,” he said.
At the same time, Filip tackled the measures taken by the government in increasing the citizens’ welfare, protecting social and economic rights and facilitating the young people’s employment, in order to fully turn to good account their skills and professional competences.
For their part, the young unionists expressed support for implementing the reforms promoted by the government and opted for setting an active partnership meant to overcome the existing difficulties and to increase the young people role in society.
The dialogue was interactive, the young people asked about the actions taken by the government to create new jobs, improve remuneration system, as well as to provide them with dwellings at accessible prices. Filip said a string of initiatives on the matter had been already elaborated which would be successful.
The National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova is made up of 26 trade union centers and brings together about 420,000 members.
