Government provides about 18 million lei for Moldova's eastern districts

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ – Government today approved two decisions that refer directly the population of the Dniester’s left side districts. Those decisions include measures to support the people of this area, worth a total of about 18 million lei, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Thus, it was decided to allocate from the reserve fund of the Government, to Dubasari district Council the sum of 7,98 million lei for granting direct payments located to owners of lands situated after Ribnita-Tiraspol road for 2016. At its turn, the Dubasari district council will allocate resources of 1229 lei per each hectare to their respective owners, based on a regulation developed and approved by the Council, in a transparent and fair way, in coordination with the State Chancellery and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.

At the same time, it was approved the Program of technical – material activities development in educational and medical institutions, infrastructure repair localities in the security zone. The program contains 44 measures, including restoration of buildings for social and water supply systems, and street lighting in over 20 locations. They were selected from the competition projects which examined over 100 proposals received from the local and central authorities. The eligibility of projects focused on projects’ implementation in the security zone and the specific activities that contribute to promoting confidence-building measures between the people on both sides of the Dniester and the objective of reintegration.

The projects’ total value planned to be implemented by the end of 2016 is 10 million lei, funds which are provided in the budget law.
