Moldova advances in Doing Business Report -2017

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/- Moldova has improved its position in the Doing Business Report. The country ranked 44th out of 190 countries in the 2017 issue, moving up three positions against the 2016 situation. The ranking was conducted by taking into account the reforms implemented by late June 2016, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
It is worth mentioning that it is working to improve indicators of Moldova in the Doing Business Report. Each position will be discussed with the authorities responsible for regulatory areas, Doing Business respondents and business community, in order to set measures due to be taken. At the same time, it is analyzed the possibility to involve an assistance team on behalf of Doing Business to identify opportunities for reforms in Moldova on the basis of the best international practices.
Thus, Romania ranked 36th, Belarus – 37, Russia – 40, Ukraine – 80 in the Doing Business Report. According to the ranking, the best conditions for business development are in New Zealand, Singapore and Denmark.
