Moldovan embassy in Italy sets hotline following earthquake

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova informs about three earthquakes of magnitude 5,4; 5,9 and 4,6 degrees followed by several aftershocks that occurred in Iang Visso localitaty, Macerata province in Italy, in the evening of 26 October, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

Due to the fact that there were collapses of buildings, we mention that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, through the Moldovan Embassy in Rome, maintain regular contact with local authorities to learn about the victims and stands ready to provide consular assistance to Moldovans who possibly suffered from earthquakes.
