Moldovan deputy premier meets Prime Minister of Latvia

Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, had a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia Māris Kučinskis, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the talks, the two officials reviewed the development progress and perspectives of the relations between Moldova and Latvia, current topics on the European reform agenda of the Republic of Moldova, as well as internal political situation on the eve of presidential elections.
Both parts encouraged for the dialogue enhance, including on trade-economic dimension, emphasizing the organization in 2017 in the Republic of Moldova of the Moldovan-Latvian intergovernmental commission meeting for cooperation in economic, industrial, technical and scientific fields. In the context, minister Andrei Galbur transmitted the invitation on behalf of Prime Minister Pavel Filip to his Latvian counterpart to visit the Republic of Moldova.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur expressed appreciation for development assistance to the Republic of Moldova from the Government of Latvia in various domains of interest, and for their support in implementing the necessary reforms in Moldova.
Latvian Prime Minister Māris Kučinskis reiterated the full support of Latvia to Moldova's European direction course.
