Moldovan speaker votes for president respecting Constitution, backing reforms

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today voted for a president who should respect the Constitution and who should be part of team promoting the reforms for getting closer to the EU development model, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
"I voted for country's European future, all reforms of government and parliament should be continued as they did during last 10 months, Surely next two years we will manage to do a lot," he said. He said although the Constitution did not offer competencies in managing the country at level of pensions and wages, the president can involve in if needed.
Candu appealed to all citizens to participate in elections. He said the vote was one of instruments by which people participated in governance and administration of the country.
