Over 2,700 people from left bank of Dniestre vote by 15:00 at two polling stations

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- Over 2,700 people voted by 15:00 at the two polling stations from Varnita settlement, Anenii Noi district, opened for residents from the left bank of the Dniestre.
The heads of the polling stations No 41 and No 42 opened in the precincts of the Varnita lyceum said “the flow of people who come to vote is very high against the elections of the previous years. No incidents had been registered so far.”
Headmaster of Lucian Blaga lyceum from Tiraspol Ion Iovcev said “people from the Transnistrian region came to vote with clear indications to vote for a particular candidate and not to express their own viewpoint.”
Direct presidential elections take place in Moldova today. The authorities opened about 2,000 polling stations, and 2.8 million citizens are expected there. Over 1 million voters (37 per cent) were present at the ballot boxes by 15:00.
