Promo-LEX association finds out more infringements in electoral process in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Promo-LEX Association has found out more infringements in the holding of the electoral process. The director of this organization and head of the Promo-LEX observers mission Pavel Postica made statements to this effect at a news conference today evening.
“Till 18:45, we ascertained 26 cases in which the observers were not allowed to freely analyze the electoral process inside polling stations. In 15 cases, we noticed voting with improper acts and alcoholic drinks were sold at 93 polling stations. In other cases, we noticed an inadequate checking of acts or failure to put the stamp in the identity card,” Pavel Postica said.
At the same time, rumours of material reward were discovered in another eight cases, violation of the secrecy of vote - in 170 cases, electoral propaganda nearby polling stations was made in seven cases, acts of violence or intimidation of electors were recorded in 13 cases, organized transportation of voters was discovered in eight cases, most often at polling stations were citizens from the Transnistrian region participate.
“Most often, the intimidation or conflicts at polling stations relate to problems discovered by voters in electoral lists. I highlight the fact that the institution was subjected to more cyber attacks, which we describe as an intimidation of observers,” Postica said.
Direct presidential elections take place in Moldova. About 49 per cent of the electors voted till 20:30. The first preliminary data on the results of the ballot will be unveiled at about 22:00.
