Preliminary data on results of presidential elections unveiled by Promo-LEX Association different from those announced by Moldovan electoral body

Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/- Preliminary data on results of the 30 October presidential elections presented today by the Promo-LEX Association are different from those announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC).
According to the Promo-LEX Association’s calculations made in parallel with those by CEC, candidate on behalf of PSRM Igor Dodon, common candidate (PAS, PPDA, PLDM) Maia Sandu, PL candidate Mihai Ghimpu and independent candidate Maia Laguta would have fewer votes, and PPEM candidate Iurie Leanca, PN candidate Dumitru Ciubasenco, independent candidates Silvia Radu, Valeriu Ghiletchi and Ana Gutu – would have more votes.
The head of the observer mission Promo-LEX, Pavel Postica, said “percentages of candidates are divided as follows: Mihai Ghimpu – 1.84 per cent (Promo-LEX), 1.8 per cent (CEC), Iurie Leanca – 3.21 (Promo LEX), 3.11 per cent (CEC), Dumitru Ciubasenco – 6.20 per cent (Promo-LEX), 6.01 (CEC), Maia Sandu – 37.71 per cent (Promo-LEX), 38.42 (CEC), Igor Dodon -47.44 per cent (Promo-LEX), 48.26 per cent (CEC), Silvia Radu -0.88 per cent (Promo-LEX), 0.4 (CEC), Maia Laguta – 1.47 per cent (Promo-LEX), 0.75 per cent (CEC), Ana Gutu – 0.18 per cent (Promo-LEX), 0.17 per cent (CEC), Valeriu Ghiletchi -1.6 per cent (Promo-LEX), 1.4 per cent (CEC).”
At the same time, more violations had been found in carrying out the election process, of which “eight cases on rumors of material rewards, 170 cases on violation of voting secret, seven cases on electoral propaganda near the polling stations, 13 cases on violence or intimidation of voters and eight cases on organized transportation of voters, mostly at polling stations, where citizens from the Transnistrian region participate.”
For the 30 October polls the Promo-LEX Association had observers in 2,023 polling stations, out of which 1,979 in the country and 44 abroad. CEC accredited 3,764 observers, 3,202 national and 562 international ones.
