Moldovan economic agents take part in trilateral business forum Moldova-Romania-Ukraine

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of Moldovan business people, led by President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Sergiu Harea, participates in the Trilateral Business Forum Moldova-Romania-Ukraine, held in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, on 1-2 November.
The CCI press service has said that the forum, titled, Inter-regional and Cross-border Cooperation. Present State, Trends and Prospects, is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, in cooperation with counterparts from Ukraine and Romania, as well as the Investments Attraction and Exports Promotion Organization from Moldova.
In a speech given in the opening of the forum, in which about 100 companies from Moldova, Romania and Ukraine participate, Sergiu Harea stressed the major importance of the chamber institutions in the process of inter-regional and cross-border cooperation and initiation of new collaboration partnerships between the participating companies.
In the context, Harea noted that, at an initiative by CCI’s Cahul-based branch, the Association of Chambers from the Lower Danube Euro-region had been created, which includes chamber institutions from Romania, Ukraine and Moldova.
Attending the forum, CCI deputy head Mihai Bilba said that “Moldova needs strategic investors from Ukraine and Romania, who might substantially contribute to developing the business environment and to our country’s orientation on a European trajectory, given that one of CCI’s main goals is to identify potential investors.”
Also today, the Porumbeni Plant Growing Institute of Moldova signed a cooperation agreement in the scientific and technical field with the State Experiment Agricultural Station from Bucovina, Ukraine.
