1. Today in Moldova

The commission on public administration and regional development, environment and climate changes holds a meeting at the parliament at 10:00.

The General Police Inspectorate launches a campaign of raising public’s awareness about the voluntary delivery of fire guns held illegally, titled, Help Moldova become a safer country. The campaign is financed by the European Union and backed by the United Nations Development Programme and South Eastern and Eastern Europe Clearinghouse for the Control of the Small Arms and Light Weapons (SEESAC). The event takes place at the headquarters of the General Police Inspectorate at 10:00.

The Association for Efficient and Responsible Governance (AGER) and the Journalistic Investigation Centre invite to an event on unveiling the third report on monitoring public acquisitions, at the Regency hotel at 10:00.

The Independent Press Association (API) and Centre for Independent Journalism (CJI) invite to a news conference on media’s monitoring in the electoral campaign: presentation of the report No 5 for 21-28 October, at IPN at 11:00.

The Chisinau-based war veterans’ union gives a news conference to inform about the union’s support for the common right-wing candidate for the Moldovan president office, Maia Sandu, at IPN at 12:00.

The East European Foundation in Moldova invites to a new issue of the press club, dedicated to the protection of consumers and food security, at the foundation’s headquarters at 11:00.

 

2. Moldovan missions abroad

A platoon made up of servicemen from the Dacia brigade of Cahul, participates along with military from Canada, Germany, Romania and the USA, in a multinational exercise, held at the Cincu Training Centre of Romania on 21 October – 3 November 2016.
