Farmers from both banks of Dniester promote goods at international exhibition

Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - Farmers from both banks of Dniester promote their goods at a joint stand within an international exhibition, PRODEXPO-2016, staged in Minsk, Belarus, on 8-11 November.   

According to the Moldova-Fruct Association of Fruits’ Producers and Exporters, companies members of the Moldova Fruct association from the right bank of Dniester and Днестровский Фрукт (Dnestrian Fruit) from the left bank of Dniester participate in the exhibition.  

A representative of the Moldova Fruct association, Oleg Alexandrov, has said that he “hopes for more offers of cooperation, in order to be able to sell products on the market of Belarus, as new partners and sales markets are needed.”

For her part, an employee of a company from the left bank of Dniester, Aurelia Prisacari, said that, at this exhibition, she was promoting products and intended to sign agreements on supply with potential buyers from Belarus. “I would like to take over the experience of producers from abroad, especially their technology of preservation of fresh fruits,” Prisacari said.    

Farmers from the two banks of Dniester exchange experience and promote their goods on foreign markets, within the joint cooperation platform, „Fructe de pe malurile Nistrului” (Fruits from Dniester banks). The platform was created by the two institutions, to contribute to enhance the cooperation between the business environments from the two banks of Dniester.      

The joint participation in the exhibition takes place within the Support to Confidence Building Measures programme of the European Union, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Moldova. The programme provides for involvement of representatives of business environment, local authorities and civil society in joint projects on business development and improving the social infrastructure.
