Moldovan Socialists' leader votes "for country's future"

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/- Candidate for the president position on behalf of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon today voted for election of president. He came to the polling station accompanied by his family, declaring he voted “for Moldova’s future”.
Dodon said that today was a historic day for Moldova. “I voted for the country’s future. I firmly believe that Moldova can become an integrated, independent and sovereign country. Today I voted for a prosperous country, where our children will have a nice future, and parents and retirees will feel that the state needs them and can ensure a decent life,” he said.
Runoff of direct presidential elections takes place in Moldova today. Citizens will be able to elect between candidates who picked up the highest number of votes in the first round – PSRM leader Igor Dodon and PAS leader Maia Sandu.
First preliminary data on results will be presented around 22:00.
