Moldovan speaker opts for president "who will be part of reform agenda of government and parliament"

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today voted for election of president. He said he wanted a president who “will be part of reform agenda of government and parliament”.
“I want new president to manage consolidate society and state institutions, so that to remain in history through hard work, dedication and success to strengthen society. I encourage citizens to participate in polls, as this is the most important instrument in the country’s administration,” he said.
Runoff of the direct presidential elections takes place in Moldova today. Citizens will elect between candidates who picked up the highest number of votes in the first round – PSRM leader Igor Dodon and PAS leader Maia Sandu.
Over 500,000 voters (about 19 per cent) were present at the ballot boxes by 11:30.
