Moldovan speaker votes for president responsible for strengthening society

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Andrian Candu today voted for a president who will strengthen society and will be part of reform agenda promoted by parliament and government, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

“I want the president to manage consolidate society and state institutions, as stipulated in the Constitution, and to be part of reform agenda promoted by the parliament and government. The president can be an impetus for the parliamentary majority and government, and make needed pressure according to constitutional competences, so that we will manage what we are set to do for the country and citizens”, he said.

Candu encouraged citizens to vote for a president who would remain in history through hard work, dedication and success to consolidate society.

“It was a hard campaign which divided society. I hope citizens will take a good decision today and I encourage them to participate in voting, as this is the most important instrument for the country’s administration,” he said.
