About ten thousand voters from Transnistria present at ballot boxes in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ – About 10 thousand voters residing in the administrative-territorial units of Transnistria have voted at thirty polling stations till 15.00. The announcement was made today by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Alina Russu at a press conference.
Requested by the agency, the chairman of Anenii Noi electoral council Dumitru Ciur said that those two polling stations in Varnita town were following the electoral process proceeds in a normal mode.
"Here it is very crowded, but we are making every effort to cope with the influx of voters, for citizens to exercise their right to vote. So far no complaints have been made by observers, we have not reported electioneering cases. We see that people come in an organized way, with buses, but we do not know to whom exactly belongs outreach initiative," said Ciur.
Previously, Promo-LEX observers’ mission found several cases of organized transportation of voters, most of which were attested around 30 polling stations opened for Moldovan citizens residing in the administrative-territorial units from Transnistria.
Today in Moldova, it is conducted the runoff of direct presidential elections. At the ballot boxes are expected 2,8 million citizens. The first preliminary data on the election results will be reported at around 22.00 hours.
