Over 57 thousand people vote by 17.00 at presidential election runoff in Gagauzia, Moldova

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ – Over 57 thousand people (43,6 per cent) have voted by 17.00 in Territorial Administrative Unit (UTA) Gagauz-Yeri today.
Requested by the agency, the Chairman of Gagauzia electoral district Ivan Comur, noted that out of voters’ total number, 500 people voted on additional lists. "So far it shows a higher number of voters than in the first round of the presidential election," said Comur.
"Until 17.00 there have not been registered any complaints. The election process runs without deviations, there were not found cases of corruption of the voters, campaigning near the polling stations or organized voters’ transportation," specified Comur.
There takes place today the runoff of direct presidential election in Moldova. The citizens will choose between candidates who accumulated the most votes in the first round – PSRM leader Igor Dodon and PAS leader Maia Sandu.
At the direct presidential election, there are expected 2,8 million citizens. The first preliminary data on the election results will be presented at around 22.00 hours.
