Moldovan electoral body processes 90 per cent of reports

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has informed about the processing of 90 per cent of the reports.
According to CEC data, the candidate of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), Igor Dodon, picked up 55.88 per cent of the votes, while the contender of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA) and Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Maia Sandu, got 44.12 per cent of the ballots.
At the same time, the Commission said that the voter turnout at the presidential polls, which ended at 21:00, was of 1.6 million citizens (more than 53 per cent of the residents with right to vote).
Presently, 17 polling stations are still opened outside Moldova.
Also, another two polling stations from the Chisinau and Balti municipalities remain opened.
On 14 November at 10:00, CEC will unveil the preliminary results of the polls’ runoff.
