Moldovan PM meets Bulgarian president

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting with President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev, on an official visit to Moldova, on 15 November, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The premier congratulated Plevneliev on awarding the highest state distinction of Moldova, the Order of the Republic. In the context, Filip said this represented an expression of gratitude for the support provided to Moldova. “We have always felt this support and further get it, mainly in terms of our country’s European integration,” the premier said.
The premier assured of the entire openness on behalf of the Moldovan government to continue the Moldovan-Bulgarian dialogue for developing and boosting the bilateral relations in all cooperation sectors.
Plevneliev said Bulgaria would continue to support Moldova in European integration and to share experience in various fields.
The sides approached issues related to the possibilities to extend the commercial relations between the two states and to turn to good account the economic and investment potential. Also, the sides discussed the integration of Bulgarian minorities in Moldova and importance of maintaining a constructive dialogue between the authorities of the two states, including helping the Bulgarian ethnic population in Moldova know the benefits of European integration, based on Bulgaria’s experience.
