Moldovan PM meets local public administration representatives

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with representatives of local public administration from Floresti district. The talks were focused on the issues related to the cabinet’s activity, at the same time pointing out the problems faced by the settlements of district and the possibilities to solve them, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The premier approached the efforts made by the government in the country’s recovery on international financial market by carrying out the provisions of the roadmap on reform actions. As a result, the International Monetary Fund approved an agreement with Moldova, and negotiations with the World Bank are at an advanced level. He noted that signing of the agreement with IMF meant the release of foreign funding and getting resources necessary for continuing reforms for the relaunch of economy, as well as a certificate of confidence for Moldova. “First installment from IMF has been already transferred to the Finance Ministry’s account. It is important that signing of the agreement represents a reform program for Moldova,” he said.
Also, Filip highlighted the importance of stabilizing the financial-banking sector, regaining citizens’ confidence in the state institutions and creating an attractive business environment for investors. “We do not launch slogans, but we work pragmatically to meet the set goals,” he said.
The participants in the meeting broached more problems, including ensuring the access to medical services, primary health care reform, capping local taxes, level of taxes for economic agents, as well as providing preferential loans to improve the living conditions of war veterans.
