Moldavian foreign minister meets Armenian counterpart

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Andrei Galbur had a meeting today, during his working visit to Yerevan, with Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The two ministers discussed the current state of things and perspectives of bilateral relations, expressing the readiness of both parts on cooperation development in various fields of common interest. Especially, it was marked the mutual desire to boost trade and economic relations, including increasing the volume of bilateral trade, creation of joint ventures and development projects in agro – industrial complex. In this context, the dialogue participants for organizing in 2017 of the first meeting of Moldovan – Armenian inter – governmental committee for trade-economic cooperation.
The officials also exchanged opinions on international and regional security patterns, as well as Moldova and Armenia’s interaction within international organizations.
The meeting was followed by the signing ceremony by foreign ministers of the three Moldovan – Armenian inter-governmental agreements: citizens’ free travel; cooperation in tourism and collaboration in education and science. At the same time, the two foreign ministries signed the common Plan of consultations for 2017 – 2018.
