Government reaffirms irreversibility of Moldova's European course

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ – At opening of the Cabinet of Ministers’ meeting today, Pavel Filip addressed to authorities a congratulatory message on the electoral campaign round up and a good organization of the presidential elections of 13 November 2016.

the government’s communication and media relations department, Head of Executive stated that the voting, which was monitored by 4,000 observers, was declared transparent and fair and responsible institutions carried out their liabilities successfully, both in the first round, as well in the runoff.

At the same time, the prime minister asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration to take into account the shortcomings recorded in elections, so that these to be corrected before for the next election. "There were found some loopholes that need to be removed. I believe that after a thorough analysis and identification of shortcomings, we will consult with the Central Election Commission (CEC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, and forward the needed initiatives on it", said Pavel Filip.

Also, the prime minister said that by applying strategic decisions Executive would keep on preserving the objectives outcast. "The government reaffirms the European course irreversibility. Hereafter follows with more dedication to implement the provisions of the Association Agreement with the European Union," the prime minister said.
