Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, voiced regret for the death of fireman Ivan Nogailic, who died while extinguishing a fire on the Uzinelor Street from Chisinau. Also, the prime minister demanded that the Interior Ministry quickens the procedure of offering assistance worth 100,000 lei, provided on behalf of the government, to the family of the departed foreman, as well as allocation of 10,000 lei to each of the six fire fighters who suffered during the fire, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
“I would like to once again voice regret about the death of the fireman who died in the mission of extinguishing the fire at the warehouse on the Uzinelor Street of the capital. This guy behaved as a true hero and we have the moral duty to honour our heroes,” the PM said.
At the same time, Prime Minister Pavel Filip demanded that the competent authorities investigate the reasons for the breaking out of the fire, in order to establish who is responsible for this tragic incident.
“I want us to make a very deep analysis of the things which happened; why the fire broke out, which were its reasons, but it is also important that we draw the necessary conclusions. Let us see who was responsible, who provided the anti-fire authorization and possibility for this warehouse to work. Let us not forget that this inquiry is also a moral obligation towards the deceased fireman,” Pavel Filip said.
The prime minister also said that hero Ivan Nogailic would be posthumously awarded the highest state distinction for military, Stefan cel Mare Order.
