Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, informed that he would pay a working visit to Brussels in early next week. In the Belgian capital, the PM will have more meetings with high-ranking EU officials, to discuss the achievements and priorities of the cabinet’s activity, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

“This is a very important visit from my viewpoint, as we make it after ten months of governance and we will have possibility to review what we have achieved on the dimension of the Moldova-EU relations,” Pavel Filip said.

At the same time, the prime minister also said that, during the visit, he would give assurances that Brussels is going to find a solid government in Chisinau in the long run too, no matter the rhetoric recorded in the electoral campaign. “This government is further determined to implement the Association Agreement, which means enforcing an agenda of quite comprehensive reforms for Moldova. So that, in 2018, along with the citizens, we could already gather the fruits of these reforms,” the prime minister stressed.

On visit, the PM will have meetings with European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker, European Parliament President Martin Schulz and European Council President Donald Tusk. At the same time, Pavel Filip will meet more European commissioners, including Federica Mogherini and Johannes Hahn.

Also, the prime minister will have discussions on the investments in the energy sector and the programme on macro-financial support for Moldova.
