Five people detained for supplying perished products to Moldovan educational institutions

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/- Five employees of the education departments from Chisinau municipality, as well as economic agents were detained by officers and anticorruption prosecutors today. They are accused of rigging public tenders on providing the schools and kindergartens with food products, as well as perished product delivery.
The head of the National Anticorruption Centre’s press service, Angela Starinschi, said “the law enforcement bodies are currently conducting more searches at the public institutions’ headquarters, as well as at homes of the people involved in rigging schemes of buying foods for educational institutions from Chisinau.”
The investigators will give more details at a news conference after completing all searches.
