Moldovan PM demands controls in all educational institutions on quality of food purchased

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip has demanded today, commencement, in an urgent mode, of verifying all educational institutions on quality and shelf term of food products purchased, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The Head of the Cabinet took this decision because investigators discovered cases of corruption concerning bid rigging at several institutions and providing food to some economic agents changed products in some educational institutions.
In this context, checks will be conducted at all institutions of pre-school, primary and secondary, as well as at military units of Moldova.
Also, so that to ensure the safe supply of citizens, the premier gave instructions to the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defence and the National Agency for Food Safety to initiate an internal investigation to observe the mode of that activity supervision by the heads of those institutions.
