Moldovan-Romanian busines forum held in Iasi

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/- Representatives of over 150 companies from Moldova and Romania participated in a business forum on 25 November. It was organized within an exhibition “Made in Moldova” held in premiere in Iasi, Romania, on 25-27 November.
The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, noted “the institution he leads believes the organization of the Moldovan-Romanian forum as timely and necessary, representing a platform of talks and information as regards economic and legislative updates in drawing foreign investments, promoting exports and as regards the achievements recorded as a result of the intense cooperation partnership set between the business community of Moldova and Romania.
For his part, Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic pointed out “Romania is a strategic partner and represents the first sales market of the world for Moldovan products, ranking first in terms of goods exported by Moldova and second in the goods imported in our country, which encourages us to further collaborate with the Romanian business environment,” he said.
In the context, Romanian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Commerce and Relations with the Business Environment Grigore Borc said “the economic environment leads to major changes in society, which urges us to back activity and to enhance investment and trade growth.”
The business forum Moldova-Romania was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova with the support of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Romania, as well as the East Invest and EEN projects, and aimed at developing, promoting and strengthening the economic and commercial relations between the two states.
