Moldovan state budget law for 2016 to be amended

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/- The Finance Ministry has elaborated and submitted to the government for consideration and approval a draft law on amending and completing the state budget law for 2016. The ministry proposes to increase incomes and expenses of budget by 328.5 million lei.
The budget amendment is dictated by “adjusting the budgetary indicators given the evolution of budget revenues”, as well as transfers from the state budget to state social insurance budget to cover deficit, in connection with reducing own revenues against those approved, an informative note by the Finance Ministry reads.
Also, some money will go to pay social aid and aid for the cold season, caused by increase in the beneficiaries of social assistance benefits and transfers to local budgets.
According to the Finance Ministry, the customs revenues will increase by 330.1 million lei, as a result of relaunch of foreign trade in the second quarter. At the same time, some adjustments or/redistribution between types of grants and other incomes are proposed, at a discount of 1.6 million lei.
Total revenues of the state budget will amount to 29 billion 641.6 million lei, under the draft.
In terms of expenses, the Finance Ministry proposes to increase by 224.3 million lei transfers from the state budget to the state social insurance budget and to rise by 103.2 million lei transfers from the state budget to the local budgets. The Education Ministry’s budget is to be supplemented with 3.8 million lei to pay allowances for children without parental care from vocational schools, secondary and higher education institutions, boarding schools and orphanages. Other expenses will be supplemented.
The draft is to be considered by the government and submitted to the parliament for adoption.
