“Dear media representatives and citizens,
We have scheduled for the today’s parliament meeting hearings on a particularly important subject, which regards the supply of perished food products meant for children.
I am father and I am quite interested in what is happening in this field and the measures the authorities undertake, so that such cases do not repeat. As father, MP and parliament speaker, I think that it was our duty to organize these hearings in plenum today.
We planned hearings of the officials of the government, as well as from other institutions concerned, such as the National Food Safety Agency, Health Ministry, Education Ministry and the leadership of the National Anticorruption Centre, which were to provide information on the criminal files opened, as well as the actions taken in the scandalous case of the perished products.
Regretfully, some lawmakers of the parliamentary opposition consider that the political show is more important than the topics which affect the entire society, boycotting the today’s meeting. I regret that they show their interest in the society and children only in statements.
We will surely return to this subject. Proceeding from the importance of the subject and the behavior of the parliamentary opposition, next week I will ask the Standing Bureau to consider possibility of introducing disciplinary sanctions, including cut in salary, for those who boycotted the plenary meeting today.
I think that the citizens must know the “heroes” and I mean here the factions of the Socialists and Communists, who promise the people to settle more problems in electoral campaigns and boycott and quit during meetings.”
