Register of addresses to be created in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - An electronic basis for the centralized record and identification of administrative and territorial units, settlements, streets and addresses on the territory of the country will created in Moldova. The parliament adopted a draft law to this effect with 53 votes for today.    

Under the law, the database will include buildings, isolated rooms, parks, public markets, leisure zones, sports grounds, car parkings and other authorized objects, where an activity can be carried out.    

According to the authors, the addresses will contain such elements as: the status and name of the settlement, name of the thoroughfare, distance of the object’s placement on a certain road, number of building, number of entrance or the number of the main entrance.   

The document establishes also a string of special technical requirements for street signs, which are to comprise specifications of the names of thoroughfares and zones of public circulation.
