Moldova attends meeting of foreign ministers of Visegrad Group, Eastern Partnership

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari represented Moldova yesterday at a working meeting of foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group (V4) and the Eastern Partnership countries (EaP) , held in Budapest, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
The event was attended by European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, European External Action Service and Estonian Presidency of European Council.
The participants in the event approached the priorities of the EaP before the November Summit and prospects for deepening relations with the EU in the coming years. Besides the sectoral priorities identified in the 20 EaP goals by 2020, the need for a visionary approach to the political perspectives and European integration aspirations of the EaP countries has been reiterated, especially, the 3 states associated with the EU.
Also, the sides focused on giving greater visibility to EaP activities and prioritizing actions that have a greater impact on citizens.
Separately, they approached issues related to the development of cooperation in the energy sector.
Morari noted the importance of the V4+EaP cooperation format for the success of the European integration efforts of Moldova.
