Regulations on operating of new ministries published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- Regulations on functioning of six ministries in the new government structure were published today in the Official Journal of Moldova.

Thus, the decisions on the activity of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Defense Ministry, Interior Ministry, Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection were published.

The institutions will submit to the government within three months the list of the administrative authorities under their control, the list of the institutions in which they are in the position of founder and the list of the joint stock companies in which they administer the state-owned package.

According to data published in the regulations, the limit staff in the central offices of the new ministries will be: 105 units at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection, compared to 210 units until optimization. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will have 100 employees, by 98 less than previously. The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure will have 155 persons, compared to 311 to optimization. The Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment will have 121 persons, compared to 219 previously. The Interior Ministry will have 93 employees out of which 28 will hold leadership positions, 41 will have special status and 28 will provide support services. The Defense Ministry will have 61 units.
