General Armorial of Moldova filled with new distinctions

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- The parliament established new awards for outstanding contributions in various fields. A decision to register “Medal of Democracy”, “Diploma of Honor” and “Diploma of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova” in the General Armorial of Moldova was published in the Official Journal of Moldova today.

The new awards will be given in gratitude and high appreciation for outstanding merits and remarkable contributions in various fields of activity. The medals and diplomas will be awarded by Parliament Speaker to Moldovan citizens, institutions, organizations, creative collectives and military units, as well as to foreign citizens, institutions, organizations and creative groups from abroad.

“Medal of Democracy” will be awarded for contribution to promoting reforms, defending citizens’ rights and freedoms, promoting traditions of parliamentarism, for outstanding merits in the professional field of activity, as well as for dedication to special missions to ensure the country’s security.

“Diploma of Honor” will be given to promote interests and image of Moldova, national traditions and values both in the country and abroad, building and using cultural heritage of the country, special achievements in didactic and research activity, strengthening bilateral diplomatic relations and working with national parliaments of other states.

“Diploma of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova” will be granted for a significant contribution to the development of science, art, culture and sports, active participation in elaboration of state policies, irreproachable activity within central public administration authorities, civil initiative and philanthropic actions, remarkable success in studying and winning places at international competitions.
