Moldovan prime minister takes part at inauguration of Eminescologists world congress’ works

Chisinau, 04 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip participated at the opening of the 6th issue of the World Congress of Eminescologists today. The event brought together members of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), professors, researchers, culture people and writers from Moldova and abroad, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The Premier said in his speech that the great work, vision, and prodigious activity of the great Eminescu has been both a true literary model and an example of civic conduct and moral probity, patriotism and country love, elements indispensable to our society.

In this context, Pavel Filip outlined the importance of Mihai Eminescu's publishing study, which addressed the great social problems that are still valid today, always identifying saving solutions for the destiny of our people. "I would like to refer to an Eminescu maximum which I am guiding myself today: There can be no serious organization with people without science, without training. The civilization is only achieved throughout work," said the Premier.

Also, the Prime Minister mentioned that the current issue of the World Congress of Eminescologists has been an extra occasion to pay tribute to academician Mihai Cimpoi, who celebrated the age of 75 on 03 September, for his considerations, the most complex criticisms and the valorization of the Eminescu work. "Mihai Cimpoi is a universal literary, but first of all he is ours, he is a scholar of high academic, possessing special moral and civic qualities and that is why we admire him," said Pavel Filip.

The World Congress of Eminescologists is organized yearly to promote Mihai Eminescu's work and personality worldwide and to deepen the Eminescu studies. The congress proceedings are held from 04 – 05 September 2017, including speeches and debates on the poet's publishing.
