Moldovan, European officials approach reforms, cooperation

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur met EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini on the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum (Slovenia), the MAEIE’s information and media relations service has reported.
The officials exchanged opinions about the current stage of relations between Moldova and EU, making a brief retrospective of the evolutions in the context of the 3rd anniversary of implementation of the Association Agreement on 1 September 2017. The sides shared the view that the success of Moldova’s approaches to EU accession can only be ensured by advancing the agenda of true transformation and implementation of the principles of good governance, rule of law, market economy and sustainable growth.
The official reconfirmed the authorities’ firm determination to meet their commitments under the Association Agenda with the EU, noting that the new stage of implementation is supported by the set of complex reforms jointly promoted by the government and parliament. Mogherini encouraged the authorities to continue their initiatives, opting for a clear reflection of the benefits of the reforms promoted for the citizens of Moldova.
