Chisinau, 05 September /MOLDPRES/ – A number of 134 young people received attestations for carrying out the mediation activity provided by the Ministry of Justice today.
The documents were handed over at a formal ceremony by the head of the Department of Professions and Legal Services of the nominated ministry, Lilian Deliu, who congratulated the young people on the occasion of their profession.
"The mediator activity is very important for Moldovan justice because it reduces the flow of court files and contributes to saving resources, including the financial ones. The research in the European Union shows that the mediation method is effective even if it has a lower rate of success," said Deliu.
The 134 youths held an Attestation Examination on 25 July 2017 and obtained the permission to practice.
The mediation is an alternative form of dispute settlement between two or more parties seeking to reach a settlement with the help of a third party mediator. The disputes can involve states, organizations, community and individuals.
