During the debates, attended by senior EU officials, including the European Commissioner for Transport and the Foreign Ministers of Romania and Bulgaria, the Ministers for European Affairs of France and Montenegro, there were examined challenges facing the EU and the entire European continent and how partner states have been able help to overcome them.
"The European integration is our strategic option and when we ask ourselves if it is a better model than the EU for Moldova and the welfare of its citizens, the answer is every time – no. We are firmly convinced that the EU remains the actor with the most influential power of transformation on our continent and the first place where it can lead to a real change of the situation is its neighbourhood," said the head of the Moldovan diplomacy in his speech.
