Moldovan prime minister meets with head of interstate tv company

Chisinau, 07 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting with the head of the interstate company MIR, Radik Batyrsin, today, who is paying a working visit in Moldova, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip mentioned the important role of MIR Company in the correct and equidistant information of the CIS space Diaspora about the events in Moldova. In this respect, Pavel Filip appreciated the balanced positioning of the post, where the emphasis is on consolidating the multinational and multicultural dialogue, dealing with subjects that unite people regardless of ethnicity or religious confession.
The head of the Executive stated that the Government would continue to support, as far as possible, the development of the company in Moldova. At the same time, Pavel Filip congratulated the company's team on the occasion of 25 years of activity, wishing successes, competitive projects and many years on the media market.
At his turn, Radik Batyrsin thanked the Government of Moldova for the support given to MIR company in Moldova and informed about the current and further projects of the broadcaster. According to him, in 2016 MIR company broadcasted 407 reports about Moldova, and in this year – 248. Similarly, MIR radio station made 141 materials about Moldova.
Currently, Interstate Company MIR is broadcasting programmes in over 20 world countries, with an audience of around 140 million people.
