Rehabilitation centre for children in risk groups opened in Tvardita city

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- A rehabilitation and social assistance centre for children in risk groups was opened in Tvardita city, Taraclia district, with the support of the Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA).
Attending the event were Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Hulusi Kilic and TIKA Coordinator Canan Alpaslan.
The Turkish Ambassador said that his country is providing assistance not only to a single region, but all Moldova as requested. “We are implementing similar projects in all corners of the country and we intend to continue it”, he said.
Canan Alpaslan was pleased with the work done at the centre and noted “the joy in the eyes of the children visiting this rehabilitation center deserves all the effort”.
The centre has the capacity to provide assistance to 100 people. Every day, 20 children attend the institution, and other 43 children with mental and physical disabilities benefit from physiotherapy, rehabilitation and psychological assistance.
