Moldovan prime minister supports modern affairs based on old traditions

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip paid a visit to the sugar factory in Drochia on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its foundation, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
In this context, the Prime Minister congratulated the company's staff, noting that that was an example of an investment that generated a successful affair. "The company has been a model and an example for other economic agents in many modes. Firstly, that you have succeeded in combining old and modern traditions. The factory is also a model of foreign investment for Moldova," said Pavel Filip.
Also, the Prime Minister mentioned that the sugar factory was a proof of efficient use of the Moldova's potential in the agro-food industry, generating significant added value, jobs and supporting the local economy.
Similarly, the head of the Executive noted that the third block of a biogas cogeneration plant would be put into operation, emphasizing that the investment in biogas production placed the factory as one of the leaders of "green energy" in Moldova. Another remark was about how Moldova's exports could develop in the context of the growing relations with the EU, while factory achieving a record sales volume in 2016.
At the same time today, Pavel Filip participated in Festival "Regina Dulce" (Sweet Queen), held in Drochia, where guests had the opportunity to taste local pastry products and visit an exhibition of modern agricultural machinery.
