Cooperation Agreement between Moldova, Luxembourg to be revised

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- The legal framework of bilateral relations between Moldova and Luxembourg will be revised and strengthened. The statement was made today by head of Moldovan diplomacy Andrei Galbur at a joint conference with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn.
Galbur said that this year Moldova marked the 25th anniversary of bilateral relations with Luxembourg. “During this period, Luxembourg was an ardent supporter of Moldova and our desire to integrate into the EU and provided financial support for projects in several areas, including health”, he said.
The official noted that at today’s meeting with his counterpart in Luxembourg, they approached several issues related to the takeover of experience in the judicial reform, financial-banking and crisis management. It has also been decided to boost bilateral cooperation in the economic sector.
Jean Asselborn said that Cooperation Agreement with Moldova, signed in 1997, will be revised and improved. The official reiterated his country’s support for solving the Transnistrian conflict and the reforms initiated by the authorities.
Jean Asselborn is today on an official visit to Moldova. He will meet several officials, including Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu and Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
