Moldovan head of state meets with minister of foreign affairs of Lithuania

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ – The Moldovan President, Igor Dodon, had a meeting with Lithuanian Foreign Minister, Linas Linkevicius, today, the presidency’s press service has reported.

The President welcomed the visit of the head of Lithuanian diplomacy to Moldova, and stressed that it has been the year of celebration of 25 years from establishment of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Lithuania. The parties exchanged views on the current state of the Moldovan – Lithuanian relations, advocating for their intensification and extension in all areas of common interest.

Igor Dodon mentioned the active political dialogue established between Moldova and Lithuania and appreciated Lithuania's active support for joint projects here in Moldova.

The head of state expressed interest in making full use of the potential for the Moldovan-Lithuanian economic cooperation, including to attract Lithuanian investments in the economy of Moldova.
