Cultural agenda in Moldova for 27 – 30 December

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ – A New Year Eve concert will take place on Saturday, 29 December at 16:00 at the National Philharmonic Sergei Lunchevich in Chisinau.   

The event is organised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) and the host institution with the support of the US Embassy in Moldova.

In the programme: creations by L. Bernstein, F. Loewe, J. Kern, L. Gottschalk and L. Anderson. For the first time in Europe, it will be presented the concert for piano and orchestra Frank Sinatra. The event guest of honour will be pianist Thomas Pandolfi from the USA. Soloists: Anastasia Cusnir (soprano), Svetlana Gavrilenko and Vera Bejan (violin). They will be accompanied by the Symphonic Orchestra of Tiraspol, directed by Grigori Moseiko.

On 27 December, at 18:30, concert Vis de iarna, organised by Brothers Advahov, hosts the same institution. At the third issue, the event comes with more surprises for audience. The Municipal Music Orchestra and the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Plai Moldovenesc, led by the Advahov Brothers, will sing alongside loved artists.

On Thursday, 28 December at 18:00, Peppi Ciorap Lung by Astrid Lindgren, directed by Petru Hadarca, is played at National Theatre Mihai Eminescu and at the Russian State Drama Theatre A.P. Chekhov – play Prostii by Neil Simon, directed by Dumitru Koev.

On Friday, 28 December at 13:30, Russian State Drama Theatre A.P. Chekhov presents performance The Wizard of the Emerald City by A. Volkov, directed by Ghenadii Boiarkin and at 18:30 at the National Theatre Eugene Ionesco –performance Chirita in provincie by Vasile Alecsandri, directed by Petru Vutcarau.

On Sunday, 30 December, at 12:00, Theatre Luceafarul performs The Shoe Pussy, by Charles Perrault, at 18:00 at the Russian State Drama Theatre A.P. Chekhov – play Prins in plase by R. Cuni, and at 18:30 at Eugene Ionesco National Theatre – Chirita in provincie.  

Also on Sunday at 17:00 at the Organ Hall, the last concert of 2018, an organ recital, performed by Renato Negri (Italy), will take place. In the programme: music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Wagner, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Haendel, Domenico Scarlatti, Georg Philipp Telemann, etc. The concert features the National Chamber Choir led by Iona Stepan and organist Anna Strezeva.
